Former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch has had his say on the relationship between two current Reds hitmen, Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.
As per BT Sport, via Daily Mail, Crouch says that there is healthy competition for goals between the two forwards, after their relationship was scrutinised after the win at Burnley earlier this season.
Crouch saidof Mane: “He has come on amazingly well, he is scoring goals there and was top scorer in the Premier League last year right up there with Salah. I don’t care what he says, there is definitely healthy competition between him and Salah for goals now.
“I just think he has improved his all-round game. He is obviously incredibly fast, strong and pacey but sometimes he was a little wasteful. He is different class now.”

TBR’s View – Healthy competition will drive both men on
In an ideal world, both men would tee each other up whenever they see the other in a better position, but goalscorers are programmed to back themselves to hit the target in almost whatever circumstances.
Mane clearly got frustrated with that at Burnley and perhaps that convinced the Senegalese international to be more selfish himself.
As long as Liverpool are winning, the identify of the scorers won’t really matter to either Jurgen Klopp or the fans, but Crouch’s insight as a former Anfield hitman is quite interesting.
