Peter Crouch has confidently predicted that Tottenham will finish in the top four of the Premier League and get out of the “blip” they find themselves in right now.
Spurs have just eight points from their opening six league matches so far this campaign, with their only victories coming in home games against Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side appear to be suffering with a hangover from last season’s Champions League final defeat and are yet to hit top gear.
The North London club have thrown away a two-goal lead to draw away to Olympiacos in the Champions League group stages, while in midweek they were knocked out of the Carabao Cup on penalties by League Two Colchester United.
Ex-Spurs striker Crouch is not worried about recent results and is backing them to turn it all around.
Pochettino faces his old team Southampton at home on Saturday afternoon and they could desperately do with three points.
“This is a blip, nothing more. As it stands, they are seventh. Not ideal, of course, but not any reason for people to believe the relationship between club and manager has run its course,” Crouch wrote in the Daily Mail.
“Tottenham will finish in the top four again and I have absolutely no doubt about that. Pochettino might not be happy with certain aspects of his squad but not to the point that he has lost faith in them.”

TBR’s View:
It will be interesting to see how Spurs fare during the next spell of games before the international break and there could be a totally different mood around the club if they pick up some quick victories.
They host Southampton on Saturday and welcome Germany heavyweights Bayern Munich in mid-week for a Champions League group stage tie.
Spurs then travel to Brighton in the final fixture before the internationals and if they can come through those next games unbeaten then spirits should be much higher.
