Peter Crouch has told the Daily Mail that he’s been impressed with Liverpool star Diogo Jota and also feels that he is piling the pressure on Roberto Firmino.
The 23-year-old has scored four goals in nine appearances for his new club and has taken to life at Anfield with aplomb.
Jota was introduced as a substitute at the weekend but some supporters and pundits alike are backing him for regular starts.

Firmino has hardly been in prolific form and Crouch thinks that Jota’s form could prove problematic for the Brazilian.
He told the Daily Mail: “I was of the opinion that Firmino would never be dropped by Jurgen Klopp but given their respective form there is now a big decision for the Liverpool manager.
“I have been so impressed by Jota. He took his goal brilliantly against West Ham and looks like he will make a difference every time he is on the pitch.
“He has given them an element of unpredictability and had made his transfer fee look like very shrewd business.
“He warrants a start in the game of that magnitude against City but I wouldn’t forget about all Firmino has done. It would be a big, big shout if he didn’t start next Sunday.”
Jota signed for a fee in excess of £40 million and some eyebrows were raised by such a fee.
His start to life at Anfield has been exceptional and his critics have already been proved wrong with his displays to date.

Dropping Firmino would still be a shock but it has got to the point where a decision has to be made.
With Manchester City next up for the reigning champions, it will be interesting to see what Klopp decides this weekend.
