Peter Crouch was left raving about Liverpool defender Andy Robertson following his performance in the win over Red Bull Salzburg on Wednesday night.
The Reds secured a 4-3 victory in the Champions League group stages in a dramatic contest at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp’s team raced into a three-goal lead, but after an hour Austrian outfit Salzburg had drawn level with a memorable comeback.
The Merseyside club did manage to lift themselves again though to restore the lead through Mohamed Salah and earn three points.
Robertson was an important part of a Liverpool side that played some mesmerising football in the first-half and he even managed to get a rare goal, as he tapped in from close-range from a Trent Alexander-Arnold cross.
Ex-Reds striker Crouch was picked him out for huge praise for his latest display.
The 25-year-old is an ever-present in Klopp’s side at left-back and is one of the most consistent full-backs in European football rights now.
“Robertson’s performance in the first-half just had me waxing lyrical I couldn’t stop talking about it,” Crouch told BT Sport 3 (2 October)
“Andy Robertson’s first-half performance was defensively and offensively one of the best I’ve seen.”

TBR’s View:
Robertson’s had a fairytale story since he joined from Hull City in 2017, which was highlighted by helping to lift the Champions League trophy last season.
The Scotland international is an attack-minded left-back that managed 13 assists across all competitions last season and he’s in a personal battle with right-back Alexander-Arnold over who can set up the most goals.
Robertson has two assists under his belt so far this campaign, but turned into the scorer on Wednesday night against an eye-catching Salzburg team.
He was solid defensively and it’s a part of his game that was overlooked, while pushing forward he was a continuous threat.
