Peter Crouch was critical of Christian Eriksen’s Tottenham performance in the loss away to Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.
Spurs rounded off their Champions League group stage with a 3-1 defeat at the Allianz Arena, but they know going into the fixture they had already qualified for the knockouts in second.
Jose Mourinho made six changes to his team to freshen it up, but they were convincingly beaten in the end despite an impressive goal from eye-catching attacker Ryan Sessegnon for the visitors.
The North London club will now wait to see who they face in the last-16 of the Champions League and the draw takes place on Monday.
They will have a two-legged tie against either Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Barcelona, RB Leipzig or Valencia.
BT Sport pundit Crouch picked out attacking midfielder Eriksen for his contribution on the night and believes he struggled to make an impact.
“I thought Eriksen was a big disappointment today. He just needs to get his head down or not play for me,” Crouch told BT Sport 2 (11 December).

TBR’s View:
There is a lot of talk surrounding Eriksen’s future due to the fact that his contract expires in the summer, but Mourinho did give him 90 minutes in Munich.
The 27-year-old was anonymous for large spells of the contest and does look a shadow of the player he has been at times in a Spurs shirt.
He has just two goals and two assists in 18 games across all competitions this season, which highlights the drop-off in his performances.
But it must be recognised that it was a much-changed Spurs team that had little to play for against Bayern and Eriksen did have some promising attacking moments late on when he linked up with substitute Heung-Min Son.
