Peter Crouch has paid Tottenham star Harry Kane a compliment after his scintillating form this season in his weekly Daily Mail column.
The former Spurs talisman has also claimed that whilst he’s not prepared to back Tottenham for the title just yet, he does think they can dream.
Kane has scored 13 goals and registered 11 assists this season in a campaign which has seen Spurs lose just once.
The 27-year-old is one of the most complete centre-forwards in world football and Crouch has been raving about the player.
He told the Daily Mail: “Harry Kane is in incredible form – the biggest compliment I can pay him is that he is effectively two players rolled into one – but he doesn’t stop running.
“I wouldn’t be prepared to say Tottenham will win the league at this stage but they absolutely have the right to dream.”
Kane’s partnership with Son Heung-min has proved a joy to behold and Tottenham will start to dream.
Some thought Mourinho was finished after his ill-fated tenure at Manchester United but boy is he proving people wrong.
He’d love to complete the unthinkable and lead Spurs to the Premier League title this season – and with Kane in the attack, why not?
TBR View – Early days but signs are positive for Spurs
The challenge for Tottenham will be to continue their tremendous form into the new year and beyond.
Mourinho has been there and done it before and it’s reasonable to suggest they have the perfect manager right now.
Kane is flying but the problems might arise should he pick up an injury just as he did last season.
That is all theoretical, however, and for now, Tottenham and their supporters can enjoy the ride – and the sheer brilliance of Kane.
