Peter Crouch believes that Wolverhampton Wanderers are building something impressive at Molineux and feels they are a real threat.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are seventh in the Premier League table as it stands and could end up with European football next year.
The West Midlands club have surprised many on their return to the top flight, but have adapted smoothly from the Championship and are a talented group.
They have already beaten some of the best in the division this campaign, with surprising results against lesser teams perhaps letting them down.
Ex-England international Crouch has raved about Wolves, while also picking out unsung duo Diogo Jota and Jonny for praise.
“We all know about Ruben Neves but Diogo Jota and Jonny have been superb,” Crouch wrote in the Daily Mail.
“If their purchases prove to be as good as the ones they have made so far, then Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad will continue to be a threat. I watched them blitz Arsenal on Wednesday and I can see results like that becoming the norm.”
Jota has been brilliant this season in attack, scoring nine goals and supplying six assists in 34 games across all competitions.
The 22-year-old is part of a strong Portuguese contingent at the club and has formed a great strike-force alongside Raul Jimenez.
He is a dynamic attacker that is so hard for defenders to pick up and keeps going from strength to strength.
Meanwhile, 25-year-old defender Jonny has impressed in a left wing-back role this season for Nuno’s team with his high levels of consistency.
