'Perfect' winger likened to Sane issues Arsenal come-get-me plea, Arteta must swoop - TBR View

Arsenal enjoyed a fruitful summer transfer window, bringing in five players including Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko.

However, the Gunners failed to make any new signings on and around transfer deadline day.

Arsenal were seemingly looking to bring in a new midfielder and/or winger, with Douglas Luiz a main target.

In just under four months’ time, the Gunners can go again when the January window opens.

And one player Arsenal were linked with has effectively issued a come-get-me plea to Edu and Mikel Arteta.

Mykhaylo Mudryk has told CBS Sports: “Yes, I think every guy dreams about playing in the Premier League.

“Arsenal is a very good team, very good coach. I like the way they play.

“Yes, from my side, I can’t say no, but a transfer is not only my decision.”

According to The Athletic, the Shakhtar Donetsk winger was discussed among Arsenal’s recruitment team.

The Gunners setup reportedly received glowing reports about his talent and temperament.

Apparently, Arsenal made contact with Mudryk’s representatives, and a formal bid is thought to have been considered

However, when the Gunners suffered injuries in midfield, they changed their late-window plans.

Marquinhos has since burst into the first team, which is great news for the club.

Nonetheless, Arsenal should not pass up on the opportunity to land Mudryk.

“Perfect player for teams that love to play an attacking style of football”

Arsenal would be getting themselves a top talent in Mudryk, who can play on the wings and at No. 10.

He has been nicknamed the “Ukrainian Neymar” for his exciting style of play.

Shakhtar themselves have described Mudryk as “unstoppable” on their Twitter channel.

Meanwhile, Foot The Ball published an in-depth scouting article on Mudryk earlier this summer.

“The 21-year-old is a skilled player that can play anywhere across the front line but prefers the left-wing,” they wrote.

“Mudryk is a perfect player for teams that love to play an attacking style of football.

“He can score goals, but his speciality lies in assists. He can find that killer pass that can split open defences.

“In addition, he can also use his skill and pace to get past defenders.”

On Twitter, fans have compared Mudryk to Alexander HlebLeroy SaneKevin De Bruyne and Son Heung-min.

Fabrizio Romano – via football.london – claimed that Shakhtar turned down bids worth around £25million for him.

They were apparently demanding upwards of £43million for his services.
