Leeds United have been linked with Brenden Aaronson.

According to MLSsoccer.com, the Whites are just one of “many clubs” eyeing the 21-year-old.

And some United States fans believe Aaronson would be perfect for Marcelo Bielsa’s team at Elland Road.

Leeds have struggled this season and are hovering above the Premier League relegation zone.

With the January transfer window on the horizon, there’s scope for the Whites to bolster their ranks.

Aaronson is a versatile player who can feature in central midfield, at No. 10, and on the wings.

The United States international joined Salzburg from Philadelphia Union in 2020.

Aaronson cost the Austrian giants an initial £4.5million, breaking Union’s record for transfer fee received.

Union stand to receive £7.6million if certain incentives are met.

The American ace is an essential player for his club, with 26 competitive appearances this season.

In addition, he has already won 15 United States caps, scoring five goals, which is a superb return for a midfielder.

Admittedly, Aaronson would be a tricky proposition for Leeds in January as Salzburg are in the Champions League last 16.

This looks more like a summer transfer, providing the Whites are still in the Premier League, and Salzburg could regroup after cashing in on him.
