Liverpool’s assistant boss Pepijn Lijnders has claimed that the club’s manager Jurgen Klopp still surprises him in training with some of his ideas.
German chief Klopp is regarded as one of the best manager’s in the business right now and many consider him to be joint-top alongside Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola.
He helped the Reds win a Champions League trophy last season and this campaign his team are storming towards a Premier League title, albeit they have to wait longer now that football has been suspended due to the outbreak of coronavirus.
Klopp is adored by supporters of the Merseyside giants and has built a formidable Liverpool team over time since he arrived in 2015.
Lijnders, who works closely as his understudy, has been discussing the 52-year-old manager and his influence.
“He (Klopp) is very intelligent. His brain works differently to many others, that’s for sure. Each day he surprises me – and we worked how long together? Four-and-a-half or five years. He changes perception in five minutes,” Lijnders said, as quoted by the club’s official website.

TBR’s View:
Klopp has managed to imprint his style on his team on the pitch, as well as having a major impact on the club as a whole.
He’s proven to be a perfect match for Liverpool and fans should hope that he stays at the helm for many more years to come, as he’s capable of bringing a sustained period of success.
There are so many stars that have gone from good to excellent under him so far and it’s easy to see why any player would want to work under him.
