The agent of AC Milan goalkeeper Pepe Reina says that his client will not be able to move to Aston Villa until the San Siro club has found a replacement.
Spanish outlet AS reported this week that Reina has an agreement in place with Villa, over an initial deal until the end of the season.
But Reina’s agent Manuel Garcia Quilon says Milan won’t let the former Liverpool goalkeeper leave until they have procured a replacement.
He told Sky Italia, via Daily Mail: “We continue to negotiate, but the Rossoneri would like to bring in a replacement first.”

TBR’s View – Nyland’s midweek display means Villa don’t need to rush Reina in
Villa do need a new stopper but the midweek display by Orjan Nyland was so good that they don’t need to be fretting about getting one through the door as soon as possible.
Reina should prove to be a solid, experienced acquisition if Villa can get him over the line but if Nyland keeps playing like he did against Leicester on Wednesday, he will be in possession of the number one shirt by the time the Spaniard arrives – whenever that may prove to be.
