Arsenal take on Aston Villa today looking to put the midweek loss at Wolves behind them and get back in the hunt for European football.

A win for the Gunners would move them to within four points of West Ham in fifth. However, Villa can also move within three points of the Hammers with their own win, so it’s a tough game for Mikel Arteta’s men.

Much of the focus this week has been on who the Gunner boss selects in the first XI. The goalkeeping department is of particular concern, but Mat Ryan has come through and gets the nod today in goal.

At the back Gabriel replaces David Luiz, although there is still no place for Kieran Tierney through injury. The big news, though, is that there is no place for skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as he continues to deal with personal issues.
