'Pep will destroy us': Some Man City fans seethe as agent reportedly holds talks with club
Man City have reportedly held talks with the agent of FC Barcelona star Sergi Roberto.
According to Duncan Castles speaking on the Transfer Window podcast, the 29-year-old defender’s representatives are in discussions with City. Indeed, Roberto has been linked with a move to the Premier League champions over the past few weeks.
The future of Joao Cancelo is currently up in the air with Mundo Deportivo reporting that the Portuguese international is keen on moving to Barcelona. Furthermore, as per the report, Roberto is a potential player the Catalan giants could use as leverage for a deal.
Moreover, Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia have already made the switch from Manchester to Barcelona this summer. Whilst Sport claim that Aymeric Laporte is another City star who is eager to make the move south to the east of Spain.
Yet this update surrounding Roberto infuriated City supporters. Indeed, Pep Guardiola is seemingly a fan of the versatile Spanish international, but fans are not certain the 29-year-old would at all be an upgrade on Cancelo.
Here’s what some Man City fans had to say about Roberto on Twitter, with a few supporters fuming that his agent is in talks with the club…
