Pep Guardiola has admitted to BBC Sport that he felt Tottenham Hotspur striker Heung-Min Son scored an ‘extraordinary’ goal against his side this weekend.
Special strike
Son was the difference maker as Tottenham beat Manchester City, when he curled in a shot from just outside the box.
It was a trademark move from the £22 million South Korean (BBC Sport), who created a yard of space, before bending the ball beyond Ederson.
And Guardiola admits that Tottenham were a big threat on the counter attack.
He said: “We allowed them more than we wanted, when they made the transition. We allowed them too much.
“We could not control it, because the passes when you lose it in some positions it’s more difficult.
“We could not be clinical enough and football is about goals. Son made an extraordinary goal. We could not score the chances when we arrived.”
The new talisman?
Son is set to become Tottenham’s talisman if Harry Kane does leave this summer.

Often Son’s form has actually improved when he has carried greater responsibility.
That was the case again at the weekend, as he put in a brilliant display to help Spurs to victory.
Tottenham’s win was fully deserved too, as they pressed with aggression and intensity throughout.
Spurs are next in Premier League action at the weekend, when they take on Nuno’s former side, Wolves.
