Brennan Johnson might not be best pleased after seeing Pedro Porro’s latest social media post.

Tottenham Hotspur players are all now back training at Hotspur Way following the summer break, and their first pre-season game is just around the corner.

Thomas Frank will take charge of his first game as Spurs head coach on Saturday as his team face Reading at the Madejski Stadium.

The game will allow the Lilywhites supporters a chance to see some fresh faces and some new partnerships forming in Frank’s new-look set-up.

Pedro Porro and Mohammed Kudus could form a dynamic duo at Tottenham

Pedro Porro has been quick to show Mohammed Kudus love at Tottenham Hotspur and the pair could be about to form a deadly connection.

Kudus joined Tottenham for £55m in a deal that took several weeks following lengthy discussions with West Ham United over a fee.

Porro and Kudus are likely to be Frank’s first-choice right-sided players, with Brennan Johnson dropping to the bench.

Along with a photo of him and Kudus in the treatment room, Porro wrote on his Instagram: “My winger”.

Porro was quick to welcome Kudus on social media, joking ‘now I just have to put up with your 1v1s in training’.

It’s clear that the Spaniard is already a big fan of the Ghanaian international and is looking forward to linking up with him next season.

Frank should be very excited by the prospect of having a right side with two players who possess the technical quality of Porro and Kudus.

Kudus, who’s been called a ‘superstar’, is set to compete with Johnson for a spot on the right side, so the Welsh international might not be best pleased with Porro’s Instagram story.

Although with Champions League football back on the menu at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, there will be plenty of chances for both players, and rotation will be key.

Mohammed Kudus could benefit from being in a stronger Tottenham team

Kudus and West Ham had a very tricky campaign last term, as the Hammers’ struggles as a team meant that the winger’s performances also dipped.

The Ghanaian’s underlying data remained strong, though as he created more chances, completed more crosses and more take-ons than Johnson.

The Welsh international was a great beneficiary of Ange Postecoglou’s tactics, which often saw him get plenty of chances at the back post.

But his overall contribution to the team was questioned at times, and Kudus could well bring a more dynamic threat down the right side for Spurs.
