Phenomenal £220,000-a-week star could raise the Anfield roof if he signs for Liverpool - TBR View

Liverpool are hoping to try and land Juventus striker Paulo Dybala – and they could get him for free!

The 28-year-old will see his contract in Turin expire next summer, although a new five-year deal has been offered (ESPN).

Dybala has been at Juventus since 2015. He’s become a mainstay in the team, scoring 108 goals in 269 appearances for the club.

Given that his contract situation is up in the air, Liverpool are hoping to turn his head.

The Reds will be able to discuss a proposal with the player from the New Year and they want to tempt Dybala into an Anfield switch.

Liverpool will likely go in search of attacking quality during the next few windows.

Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah are all quality, with Diogo Jota also in the ranks.

In reserve, there isn’t too much though and having someone with Dybala’s quality as an option would be wonderful for Jurgen Klopp.

The beauty of signing Dybala from a Liverpool perspective is that he is capable of spearheading the attack or playing as a number 10.

That makes him a decent foil for Firmino and he’d be a useful addition to the squad.

Dybala wanted by Liverpool and fans should be buzzing

This would certainly be an eye-catching addition to the ranks after a couple of transfer windows without a stellar recruit.

It could be argued that Thiago did provide a pretty decent addition, although his injury problems have meant a slow start to life at Anfield.

The £220,000-a-week player is a superstar. He has scored eight goals this season and that is two more than Firmino has managed.

Dybala has 31 caps for his country and on his day he’s a truly special player who knows exactly where the back of the net is.

The Argentine might need some persuading to join the Liverpool ranks but at 28 he’s at the peak of his powers.

With that in mind, Liverpool fans should be thrilled if Klopp can get this deal over the line.
