Paul Robinson has told Sky Sports News (Wednesday, 12:10) that he believes the situation surrounding Christian Eriksen could be affecting the morale of Tottenham Hotspur’s squad, as the player looks likely to leave.
The 27-year-old spoke openly earlier this summer as stating that he is desperate to try a new challenge. The Denmark international has entered the final 12 months of his contract with the north London outfit.
ESPN claimed this week that Eriksen will only leave this summer if Barcelona, Real Madrid or Juventus come calling. Both Spanish sides are looking to sign Neymar, while Juve have brought in Aaron Ramsey while keeping Paulo Dybala.
It remains to be seen if Eriksen will indeed leave Spurs , with the majority of windows closing on September 2. But ex-Spurs ace Robinson has urged Eriksen to leave, as he believes his transfer saga could have a negative impact on the Spurs squad.

TBR’s view – Robinson right; Eriksen must leave, in respect to the club
Eriksen will leave on a free transfer if he is not sold by September 2. That is because he can sign a pre-contract agreement from january 1 under the Bosman ruling, and obviously for free at the end of the season.
But if Eriksen has any respect for Spurs, his manager Mauricio Pochettino and owner Daniel Levy, Eriksen should leave this summer and give Spurs the chance to bring in some cash for his signature.
