Paul Merson claims to have spotted a flaw in Manchester United youngster Alejandro Garnacho’s game.
Man United have turned a corner in recent weeks and have picked up three consecutive wins in the Premier League.
Their latest victory came at Villa Park yesterday, with Scott McTominay netting a late goal to hand them a 2-1 win.
Erik ten Hag’s side had been struggling to find the back of the net but they have bagged 11 goals in their last four league games.
Of course, Rasmus Hojlund’s new-found confidence in front of goal has come at the ideal time for Ten Hag. But Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford have also stepped up in recent games.
Yet, Paul Merson believes both players need to work on their ‘game management’.

Merson says one area of Garnacho’s game is ‘poor’
Speaking on Sky Sports, Merson feels that both Rashford and Garnacho gave the ball away far too easily against Villa yesterday.
“The two [Rashford and Garnacho] on the wing are a threat. I still think their game management in games is poor,” the Arsenal legend said.
“Today when they broke at times, they were just giving the ball away so cheaply and making the wrong decisions.
“It caught up with them as it led to pressure after pressure. When they start learning that, and they should have learned it by now, then I think they’ll be a much better team.”

It’s easy to forget that Garnacho is only 19 and is a fairly recent addition to the first-team squad at United.
The youngster has already displayed plenty of promise since breaking into Ten Hag’s side.
Of course, there are bound to be areas of his game that need to be improved as he continues to learn his trade at United. But when it comes to giving the ball away cheaply, that’s mostly down to Garnacho taking risks on the ball.
United often rely on moments of individual brilliance from players and Garnacho is the type of player who can produce these moments.
