Paul Merson believes Tottenham Hotspur should look to appoint Graham Potter, and says he’d take him at Arsenal if Mikel Arteta left.
Spurs are currently looking for a new permanent manager following Jose Mourinho’s sacking, while Arteta continues to split opinion amongst Gunners fans.
Potter has done well in English football since arriving on these shores from Ostersund in 2019, first with Swansea and now with Brighton.

Indeed, the 45-year-old has already been linked with the Tottenham role, The Guardian claiming this week that he is one of the coaches under consideration.
And Merson believes he’d be a great shout for the Spurs job, though he’d also take him at his former club if they found themselves needing a new head coach.
“I will put my neck on the line here,” he told Sky Sports (1 May, 2:12pm). “I would take him at Tottenham.
“I will tell you what, if Arteta left tomorrow morning, I would take him at Arsenal, if Arteta left tomorrow.”
TBR View:
Potter is a young manager who has done well throughout his career, getting results and also playing good football.
Admittedly, the Seagulls have struggled at times, but you could argue that’s due to a lack of quality in the final third, something that wouldn’t be an issue at Spurs or Arsenal.
Potter also boasts a record of 39 goals conceded from 35 league games this season, which shows he knows how to set up defensively too.
