Paul Merson has given his prediction for Leeds v Leicester this week and admits he doesn’t think the Whites will come out with anything once again.
Despite some plucky performances this season under Jesse Marsch, Leeds are slipping down the table and lost at home against table toppers Arsenal this weekend. It was a decent enough performance by the Whites, who just couldn’t find the cutting edge they needed.

And that lack of cutting edge has got Paul Merson worried about their PL status, with the ex-Arsenal man predicting in his SportsKeeda column another miserable night for Leeds.
“I thought Leeds were unlucky against Arsenal, but they’re now dropping down in the Premier League table. I’m worried for them at the moment – when you’re near the bottom of the league, you cannot afford to miss penalties,” Merson told SportsKeeda.
“Leeds did well at Palace for 45 minutes, and they need to put 90 minutes together. They play at a hundred miles an hour, and I don’t know how they’re going to do that for a full game. You’d expect Leicester to score goals at the very least but all of a sudden, they’ve been beaten by Bournemouth and have had a goalless draw at Palace. They’ve only scored one goal in their last two games and I expect to bounce back this week.”
TBR’s View: Leeds v Leicester Feels Massive
Brendan Rodgers seems to be teetering on the brink of being sacked by the Foxes and he walked out of his presser at the weekend after a poor line of questioning from a journalist.
However, this only means this week’s clash with Leeds is even bigger. The Foxes simply must win, while Leeds will also be desperate to pick up three points.
Merson’s call on a Leicester win is a bold one here in a game that could very much go either way.
