Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has talked up Wolves’ chances of finishing in the Premier League’s top four as well as praising some of their key men.
Merson raved over Nuno Santo, who he says is one of the world’s top managers, and cited the improvement of Adama Traore on the wing as well.
He said: “Wolves have got every chance [of finishing in the top four]. They have got the firepower – Jimenez, Jota and Traore, the most improved player in the history of football! Those three can hurt anybody on any given day.
“This manager does not get the credit he deserves, he is up there with the best in the business. When you talk about Manchester United looking at managers, I am thinking: ‘How are you not getting this man?’ This bloke is as good as anybody, he is one of the top managers in the world of football.”

TBR’s View – Top four a possibility for Wolves if they can find consistency
Chelsea are desperately lucky to still be in the top four after just one Premier League win in 2020 and struggles in home games even before that.
If any of the teams in that pack below them could put a run of wins together, the top four would be a genuine possibility.
Wolves were the better side at Old Trafford on Saturday but lacked that little bit of energy and cutting edge. It might be a lazy criticism but is Santo’s small squad slightly stretched by the workload?
The obvious flip side of that is that a thinner squad allows for plenty of gametime and opportunity to work with the likes of Traore, which is likely a huge factor behind his development.
