Paul Merson has not held back with his criticism of Tottenham centre-forward Harry Kane after his performance against Chelsea.
Spurs suffered a 2-0 away defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, which could threaten to bring them back into a battle for a top four finish.
Mauricio Pochettino’s team have hit a real dip in the season and need to try lift themselves sharpish before the North London Derby at the weekend.
Sky Sports pundit has singled out Kane for major criticism after he cast a frustrated figure in attack against Chelsea.
The 25-year-old has lost two games on the spin since returning from injury and barely had a sniff at Chelsea’s goal.
“If you’d have just come over to visit England and gone to watch Chelsea vs Tottenham, and you went to see Harry Kane because he’s supposed to be one of the best in the world, you wouldn’t believe it,” Merson told Sky Sports.
“I’ve seen people have bad games, but he didn’t do anything in the entire game. Nothing. I was shocked. I don’t know if he’s still carrying his injury or what.”

TBR’s View:
Kane may not have quite been at the races against Chelsea, but Merson’s criticism is a little harsh considering he’s still their best player.
The England captain wasn’t his usual goal threat, but is coming back from injury and at least showed some determination with his battle against Chelsea centre-backs David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger.
Kane’s usually at his best when question marks are raised over him so it would be no surprise to deliver the goods against Arsenal.
The striker has 21 goals across all competitions so far and he could easily still smash the 30-goal barrier.
