Paul Lambert has heaped praise on Celtic new boy Shane Duffy, and reckons the ‘no-nonsense’ star will do great at Parkhead.
The Hoops have taken the 28-year-old centre-half on loan from Brighton for the 2020/21 season, with the player delighted to make the move.
Duffy described the switch as ‘something I’ve always dreamed of‘, and will now aim to help Celtic to a 10th straight league title.

Supposedly the loan fee for Duffy is a little under £2 million, and Celtic are believed to be paying £25,000 of his £45,000-a-week wages (Scottish Sun).
That is a lot for a loan, but there is a good chance he will be worth that money.
In the eyes of ex-Hoops star Lambert, who managed Duffy at Blackburn Rovers, the player is super business.
The current Ipswich Town boss said (The Herald): “You’re not going to outmuscle him, that’s for sure.
“He’s a proper defender. He’ll put his body on the line, he’ll go and head things and he’ll be really aggressive.

“He’s a really big lad, and at the time I had him at Blackburn, I thought him and big Grant Hanley were excellent for me. He’s a proper centre-half and I think he’ll do great. He’ll take no nonsense.”
TBR’s View – Duffy is fine Celtic business
The loan fee is somewhat hefty but Duffy has every chance of justifying that outlay.
He’s been really good for Brighton in a partnership with the brilliant Lewis Dunk, and has the aggression and physicality to excel in Scottish football.
