Takumi Minamino scored again for Southampton during Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea and afterwards, Liverpool target Patson Daka had some kind words for him on Instagram.
The Sunday Mirror has previously claimed the Premier League champions as potentially interested parties when it comes to securing the signing of Daka.
Minamino was a surprise signing during the January transfer window for Southampton. He joined on a season-long loan and has hit the ground running, scoring twice in his first three outings.
Daka and the Japan international struck up a decent relationship during their time playing together with RB Salzburg. After Saturday’s draw for the Saints, he has a two-word appraisal of the forward.

Minamino is already providing Jurgen Klopp with a bit of a conundrum during his stint out on loan.
As he gets settled at his new club, Liverpool continue to toil with their title defence currently in tatters.
Minamino has made 31 appearances for the Reds, scoring four goals and claiming two assists.
It’s fair to say that Klopp might have wanted a bit more from the man with 26 caps for his country but starting berths have come at a premium.
Challenge
Liverpool could have an important asset when it comes to tempting Daka to Anfield during the summer.
He clearly has a good relationship with Minamino and that could help him decide his next move.

Daka is valued at £25 million and with 23 goals to his name this season, he’s set to become a wanted man.
Minamino will hope to continue firing on all cylinders in Ralph Hasenhuttl’s team and throw himself into Liverpool contention for next season.
Paid £75,000-a-week by the Reds, it seems unlikely that Jurgen Klopp will wash his hands of the forward just yet.
The challenge is to earn regular football at Liverpool.
