Patrick Vieira hails 'terrific' player reportedly mulling over Newcastle move
Newcastle United and Crystal Palace have both been linked with Aaron Ramsey in recent weeks.
The Times recently claimed that the Magpies are ready to try and land the Juventus man on an initial loan deal.
Earlier this week, GiveMeSport‘s Dean Jones claimed Newcastle were “definitely in” for Ramsey, and the player was considering a move.
“He’s just making sure that it really suits him,” wrote Jones.
“Because there are other clubs being sounded out as well for interest. But Newcastle are definitely in for Ramsey at this stage.”
Meanwhile, talkSPORT has reported that Palace are among the frontrunners to land Ramsey.
On Friday, football.london asked Eagles boss Patrick Vieira about speculation linking the club with the Wales star.
He refused to be drawn on the speculation, but lauded the player and said he still has a lot to offer.
“When you look at his pedigree and look at his experience, I think he will improve a lot of teams in the Premier League,” he said.
“I like the player, I like a lot of players. But you look like you know more than me about his availability.
“Obviously, he is a terrific player. I think he can do well for a lot of teams in the Premier League.”
“He’s an outgoing player”
Ramsey has made just five appearances in all competitions for Juventus this season.
And Massimiliano Allegri has admitted that Ramsey is likely to leave this month.
“Ramsey, he returned today after we had given him a few days off to work, to train separately in England,” Sky Sports quotes him as saying.
“In any case, he’s an outgoing player.”
Ramsey joined the Italian giants on a free transfer from Arsenal in July 2019, penning a four-year deal.
He has made 70 appearances in all competitions for the club, scoring six goals.
Ramsey has also won 71 caps for Wales, scoring 20 goals.
