Patrick Bamford has told the official Leeds United podcast that the Whites squad felt “frustrated” in the changing room after the club suffered a 1-0 defeat to Brighton on Saturday – and has commented on training since.
The 27-year-old failed to add to his 10 Premier League goals as Leeds proved ineffective against the Seagulls. Indeed, Neal Maupay – who scored against Leeds for Brentford during Marcelo’s reign – scored the only goal of the game.
Supporters have since criticised the state of the Elland Road pitch, while Leeds lacked any kind of creativity going forward. Mateusz Klich is not performing to his best, according to supporters – as are a number of others.
Leeds have now lost their last three games and have failed to score in 2021 – losing to Crawley, Tottenham and Brighton. But Bamford states that the atmosphere remains positive, despite a frustrated changing room.
