Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford believes he has added more aggression to his game as he looks to improve on his performances from last season.
Leeds United went back to the top of the Championship yesterday with a hard-fought 1-0 win against Slaven Bilic’s West Bromwich Albion.
The star player for Leeds was Bamford, who put in a sensationally hard-working shift up front. He constantly harried the West Brom defenders, held the ball up immensely and worked himself into the ground for Marcelo Bielsa’s men last night.

It was the sort of performance that Leeds United fans feel was lacking from Bamford last season, which often saw him criticised among the Whites fanbase.
Speaking to BBC West Yorkshire Sport after the game, Bamford admitted he has added some aggression to his play and feels his performances have improved as a consequence.
“Last year one of the things I was criticised for was not being aggressive enough. Can he do it up front on his own? I knew I could, I knew had the strength and stuff. It was just to add that aggression to my game.
“To be honest I think this season my performances have been a lot higher than they were last year.”
TBR’s View
There is no doubt Bamford has something of a complicated relationship with the Elland Road faithful.
However, his performance against West Brom last night was easily his best yet in a Leeds shirt and fully deserved the mass praise it received online.
If he continues to perform at this level, Leeds fans will not have much to be critical about when it comes to their starting striker.
