'Really?': BBC pundit thinks Celtic fans will be fuming with one of their players after second-half moment today

Former Scottish international turned pundit, Pat Nevin, believes Celtic fans will be asking questions of their goalkeeper, Joe Hart, after today’s clash with Rangers.

Hart was beaten by Fashion Sakala in the second half as Rangers snatched an equaliser, despite Celtic having more than enough chances to put the game to bed just before.

The former England international has had a solid season with the Bhoys. However, he will have been disappointed with the effort from Sakala which snuck in his near post. And watching on for the BBC, former Scotland star Nevin believes Celtic fans will be questioning Hart’s efforts here.

“It’s possibly the first decent thing Fashion Sakala has done all day. It’s a very, very difficult angle to score from and I think a lot of people will look at Joe Hart and say ‘really, from there?,” Nevin said for BBC Five Live.

The slight error from Hart and the result today means Rangers can very much still win the title. Of course, Celtic would need to drop points, while Rangers also have eyes on the Europa League prize.

TBR’s View: Joe Hart Will Be Annoyed At Himself

It was a tidy enough little finish from Sakala but as Nevin points out here, Joe Hart will be disappointed, as will supporters.

A goalkeeper getting beaten at his near post is never a good look in all honesty. And in a game of such magnitude, it’s always going to be highlighted more. Hart has been great for Celtic this year in the main. But those mistakes can always creep in and he’ll no doubt be thinking about this one tonight.

The good news is Celtic have it all their own hands. Another win and it should be wrapped up. Rangers, meanwhile, would love nothing more than to get their hands on the European trophy.
