Report: PSG contact Tottenham target Paratici

Paris Saint Germain have contacted Tottenham Hotspur target Fabio Paratici, according to AS.

The publication is claiming that the French club is looking for a replacement for Leonardo. It is being claimed the Ligue 1 giants are growing dissatisfied with the sporting director’s work.

However, the Italian’s first choice would be to join Spurs. This comes with Antonio Conte reportedly closing in on becoming the Lilywhites’ new manager.

The former Internazionale coach is said to be satisfied with the wages offered by the north London giants. However, he has reservations over three things. Their vision, the funding available and the ability to keep a hold of Harry Kane.

The 51-year-old is said to be close with Juventus’ Paratici, hence why a move to Spurs is his first choice.

Tottenham beware: PSG still remain an attractive prospect for Paratici

With Conte look likely to land the job at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Paratici does so too.

However, despite the strong bond between the two gentlemen, PSG remains an attractive prospect. Their endless funding provides a better opportunity for any director of football.

Meanwhile, the Coronavirus pandemic has hamstrung Spurs’ finances. Their ability to go out and spend freely isn’t as big as their French rivals’.

But, with Conte reportedly close to joining, you’d imagine funds would be available to the Italian.

In any of his past roles, he’s always had a sizeable transfer budget at his disposal. And with five titles in his last seven club seasons, he’s used that budget to sensational effect.

Paratici, dubbed the ‘free transfer master’, would be a huge coup for Spurs especially with his ability to land free transfers. But, PSG still prove an attractive prospect for anyone working in football.
