Report: What Paratici was spotted doing on the sidelines constantly during Tottenham’s game with Wolves

It was another miserable weekend of footballing action for Tottenham Hotspur, who saw Wolves come to North London and take away the three points.

Antonio Conte is already feeling a bit of pressure it seems. The Italian looked a frustrated figure after the game and seemed at a loss as to why his team are struggling so much. The January transfer window brought only two new signings and there is a sense that more are needed.

Of course, that comes down to who Fabio Paratici can get in the summer. The Italian seemed to have fingers in all sorts of pies in January, but in the end, went back to former club Juventus to sign Bentancur and Kulusevski. So far, some of his other signings haven’t paid off.

One of those signings is goalkeeper, Pierluigi Gollini. And according to a report from Football.London, Gollini seemed to be the target of Paratici’s frustration and conversation yesterday against Wolves. FL claims Paratici spent much of the game ‘chatting the ear off’ the goalkeeper. They not how the stopper has become the go-to man for the Spurs supremo during matches.

Paratici’s decision to speak with Gollini could be purely down to a language thing. But for a player not playing, it’s probably a lot to absorb on a weekly basis.

TBR’s View: Paratici Under More Pressure Than Ever

Daniel Levy brought Paratici in with one job. That was to bring players in who were better than Tottenham already had and improve the playing squad.

So far, it’s hard to say that he has done that. Players like Gollini, Emerson Royal, and others have struggled at times.

Obviously, the jury is out on Kulusevski and Bentancur. They are new and have looked ok in their short time at the club already. However, pressure is building on Paratici, and the summer is already looking huge.
