‘Paratici out’, ‘So bad’: Some Tottenham fans angered by rumoured interest in ‘dreadful’ target

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting on social media to reports by TuttoMercatoWEB that Fabio Paratici is eying a move to sign Ozan Kabak.

Paratici is monitoring Kabak as he draws up a shortlist of targets after being named as Spurs’ new Managing Director. The former Juventus chief is also still working with Daniel Levy on a new manager after scrapping Gennaro Gattuso.

Schalke are listening to offers for Kabak after Liverpool elected against using their option to buy the Turkish centre-back. The Reds held an £18m rising to £26.5m with add-ons purchase clause after he joined on loan in January.

But Schalke are not in a position where they can now keep Kabak at the Veltins-Arena after being relegated from the Bundesliga. Die Konigsblauen have also told the 21-year-old that he is free to find a new club in the transfer window.

Kabak spoke with Schalke at the start of the week to discuss his potential future in Germany. He has begun to attract significant interest from Italy, though, with Lazio, Roma and Atalanta among those considering a transfer.

Inter Milan may also join the Kabak chase should the Serie A champions sell one of their current options. However, Paratici is keeping a close eye on developments as he looks to sign a new defender at Tottenham.

But Tottenham fans reacting on social media have been left disappointed by Paratici eying a summer move to sign Kabak. That’s because they do not feel the Schalke defender would be the upgrade they need to make at centre-back.

Some Spurs supporters have even shared that they would be happy to see Paratici leave within a week of his arrival, if Kabak is the sort of player he wants to bring to north London.
