Tottenham Hotspur fans are keen to see Houssem Aouar snapped up after claims in Get French Football News that he is missing training to try and force a move away.
Tottenham have been linked with a move for Aouar in recent weeks since Fabio Paratici’s arrival by the Sunday Mirror.
It is believed that Paratici wanted to sign Aouar when he was at Juventus, and there have been suggestions that Tottenham could now move.
Just a week after these claims, Aouar is now said to be missing training with Lyon in a bid to engineer an exit.
And many Spurs fans think that the time is now right for the club to make their move for the 22-year-old, who was valued at £51 million (AS).
Can Spurs get Aouar back to his best?
Aouar’s stock has fallen after what was a disappointing season last time around.
But he has previously proven to be an excellent operator, and back in 2020 he was one of the most sought after midfielders in European football.
If he was to join Spurs he would help to add creativity and poise to their midfield ranks, and could link up with Tanguy Ndombele again, who he previously played with for Lyon.
