Nottingham Forest slipped to tenth in the Championship after losing 3-1 at home to fellow play-off hopefuls Aston Villa at the City Ground last night.
The game started so well for Martin O’Neill’s side when Jack Colback put them ahead after just three minutes but they were 2-1 down by half time thanks to a double from Villa midfielder John McGinn.
Kortney Hause sealed the win during the second half to leave Forest three points off the pace in that hotly-contested play-off race.
It was something of an opportunity missed for Forest and one player who was singled out for blame in the aftermath of the match was towering goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon.

There is a feeling that Forest need their glovesman to improve rapidly if O’Neill’s side are to make it into the top six – he has never been the most reliable or commanding keeper despite his height.
His slow reactions cost Forest last night and the supporters were not impressed after a night that can be chalked down as an opportunity missed…
