‘Pack your bags please’ – Tottenham fans want Ben Davies dropped for North London derby

Ben Davies’ performance in Tottenham Hotspur’s loss to Chelsea has drawn plenty of criticism.

And with a vital North London derby coming up this Saturday, a number of fans want to see him replaced by Danny Rose.

Davies started at left-back against Chelsea but struggled both defensively and going forward as Spurs slumped to a 2-0 loss.

The Wales international is in constant competition with Rose for the starting left-back spot and Mauricio Pochettino gave him a chance to stake his claim.

With places up for grabs, Pochettino would have been hoping that Davies gave him a selection dilemma for the weekend.

But instead, Tottenham suffered their second consecutive loss to all but end their hopes of a late title push.

And Arsenal’s win over Bournemouth leaves them just four points behind their North London rivals ahead of this weekend’s derby clash.

Tottenham are desperate to win this weekend for pride and to ensure Arsenal do not have a chance of leapfrogging them in the lead.
