Pablo Fornals would be the ideal Dele Alli alternative for Tottenham

Tottenham may finally have identified a player who can efficiently rotate with young midfielder Dele Alli, who has been showing increasing signs of tiredness after the World Cup.

TEAMtalk say that Fornals could be available for a fee in the region of €25 million due to a release clause in his contract, attracting interest from Arsenal, Manchester City and Spurs.

Clearly popular in the Premier League, Fornals has not reached the heights of last season when he provided 12 assists in 35 league games, though Villarreal are struggling.

Much like Dele Alli, he is showing signs of fatigue that could explain this downwards trend, though Fornals have the added difficulty of featuring for a side battling relegation.

If Pochettino is keen to assault all fronts in all competitions, then he may need to look to players like Fornals , who may not necessarily walk into the side straight off but is more than good enough to shine.

With a number of clubs intersted, Daniel Levy has plenty of work to be doing in the build up to the summer transfer window, with Fornals looking like a potential early target already.
