Arsenal have been linked with Victor Osimhen in recent months and speculation is likely to increase heading towards the summer transfer window.
For instance, Italian journalist Ciro Venerato claimed in December that the Gunners have touched base over potentially signing Osimhen.
Even though Arsenal have been in amazing form, there’s certainly scope to bring in a new centre-forward at the end of the season.
Osimhen is one of the best strikers in the world, so it’s not surprising in the slightest that the Gunners are apparently after him.

The 25-year-old registered 31 goals last season, including 26 in Serie A that helped fire Napoli to their first Scudetto since 1990.
Meanwhile, Osimhen has registered 13 goals this season. This is despite injuries and missing out on club games due to the Africa Cup of Nations.
Arsenal target Victor Osimhen is ‘destined for a big move’
Osimhen was in action for Napoli against Barcelona on Tuesday, a game the Spaniards won 3-1 to progress 4-2 on aggregate.
Owen Hargreaves, speaking on TNT Sports ahead of the match, believes the Nigeria international has everything he needs to be the “perfect centre-forward”.
The former Manchester United, Manchester City and Bayern Munich man also backed Osimhen to move to the Premier League at some point.
“This is probably the last big game for him this season, you know in terms of everybody’s watching against Barcelona,” Hargreaves said.
“He’s destined for a big move, 31 goals last season. He’s a great finisher, he’s got the size, he’s got the skill-set. He’s got everything to be the perfect centre forward.
“It will be interesting to see when he comes to the Premier League, because that feels like it’s on the cards.”
Osimhen has been a revelation for Napoli since his reported £70million move from Lille back in 2020.
This season, signed a new contract at Napoli with a reported £113million release clause, but this hasn’t stopped speculation from doing the rounds.
Let’s see what happens in the summer. Arsenal will certainly fancy their chances of signing him, especially if they triumph in the Premier League and/or Champions League.
