'Overpriced': £20m England striker says West Ham United player costs too much on FPL this season
The pair of strikers will both set managers back £7.5 million when picking their squads for the campaign which kicks off in a matter of days.
On the BBC’s Footballer’s Football Podcast, Wilson joked with Antonio that he represents more value for money than the Hammers man.
Wilson seems to think that he will vastly outscore Antonio if they both manage to stay fit and in their respective teams across the season.
Antonio and Wilson cost the same Fantasy Premier League price
Wilson said: “If anything I will double any bet that you want for the following podcast. Anything!
“Honestly, if I have a full season and you have a full season there is no way that you end up no goals anywhere near me.
“That’s the thing if we’re brutally honest, come on! I’m sure the fans would agree.
“On fantasy I see we are £7.5 million each, if anything you are overpriced and I’m a bargain!”
Last season, Antonio scored ten Premier League goals, while Wilson scored eight for Newcastle.
The difference was that Wilson played half the amount of games in the league; 18 to Antonio’s 36, as per the Premier League’s official website.
Antonio also got eight assists, to Wilson’s none, which may also be something for Fantasy Premier League managers to consider.
But it will be an interesting battle between two strikers at the same price point to see who can be the better option as the season goes along.
