Arsenal completed the signing of exciting young talent Lino Sousa from West Bromwich Albion recently and he could become a massive star in the coming years.
One of the most impressive things about the Gunners over the last few years is the way their academy is producing talents. Arsenal’s Hale End has always been fantastic, but it’s now arguably better than it has ever been before.
Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe are massive stars now, while the likes of Charlie Patino, Miguel Azeez, Omari Hutchinson and Marcelo Flores are pushing really hard to break into the first team.
One young player Arsenal fans should keep an eye on is Sousa, who is massively talented.
Arsenal new boy Lino Sousa is ‘among the best’ in England
The Gunners’ academy is a fantastic one and so is West Brom’s.
The Baggies have produced a number of top-quality youngsters in recent years but it looks like it will be Arsenal who are set to benefit through young Sousa.
The 17-year-old completed his move from West Brom to Arsenal at the end of the January transfer window this year. Sources at the Hawthorns now feel that the Gunners have signed a gem.
The Athletic reports that people at West Brom feel Sousa is ‘outstanding’ and ‘among the best in the country’ at his age level, which should really excite Arsenal fans.

A Portuguese battle at Arsenal?
Sousa is an England youth international having represented the country at both under-15 and under-16 level. However, he qualifies to play for Portugal as well.
That makes the future interesting as the Gunners already have a Portuguese left-back in Nuno Tavares, who has impressed for the first-team when he has been given an opportunity this season.
Sousa is still only 17 and it will be a while before he makes it to Arsenal’s senior side.
However, when he does, it could well be a battle between the two Portuguese youngsters to get into their national team – if Sousa decides to represent Portugal instead of England.
