There’s been lots of chat about Arsenal signing a new striker this month.
The Gunners have been linked with a plethora of new centre-forwards in recent weeks, with Ivan Toney and Victor Osimhen named as potential targets.
Speaking on Premier League Productions, Clinton Morrison has been discussing Arsenal’s striking problems, and while he says that the Gunners may well need a new number nine, he also says that Gabriel Jesus is more than good enough to lead the line for Arsenal, claiming that he is an outstanding striker.

Jesus is good enough
Morrison spoke about the Brazilian and Arsenal’s striking options.
“What type of striker would you bring in? Because I think if you bring a striker in you’re definitely in the mix to win the Premier League because at the moment everything else is clicking well,” Morrison said.
“So are you saying Jesus and Nketiah aren’t good enough?” Morrison was asked.
“No, Jesus is good enough, Jesus is an outstanding striker,” Morrison said.
Jesus is good enough
Morrison is absolutely right, Jesus is more than good enough to lead the line for a team pushing for a Premier League title.
The Brazilian already has four Premier League winners’ medals to his name at Manchester City, he’s been there and done it all before.
Yes, he wasn’t the first-choice striker at City for all of those seasons, but there were prolonged periods where he was Pep Guardiola’s main man up front, and he often delivered the goods in these big games.
Unfortunately, Jesus’ goals have dried up a bit this season, but he’s still doing a lot right in terms of linking up play and making Arsenal tick in an attacking sense.
Arsenal may well be better for signing a new striker, but there’s no reason why they can’t win the league with Jesus up front if he manages to find a bit of form.
