Gabby Agbonlahor has been asked about Leon Bailey’s miss during Aston Villa’s 1-1 draw with Wolves last night.
In the last minute of stoppage time, Bailey rounded goalkeeper Jose Sa and rolled the ball wide when he could have won the game.
Bailey was distraught after the game, crying on the pitch and making multiple social media posts about the missed opportunity.
On TalkSPORT, Agbonlahor was asked about the chance and said it was not as bad as many people had made it out to be and that the 25-year-old had been ‘outstanding’ all season.

Agbonlahor says Bailey will be back stronger
He said: “For someone predominantly left-footed, it’s not a bad miss for me.
“If it was on his left, you say it’s a bad miss. But it happens on your weaker foot, off balance. It’s not an open goal for me.
“People make it sound worse than it was. He’s been outstanding this season. Just got to keep your head up. Leon Bailey will come back.”
Bailey knew it was a big opportunity to score last night but there will be worse misses in the Premier League this season, you can be sure of that.
Perhaps the covering defender would have cleared it anyway, but Bailey will be disappointed he did not get it on target.
Now, all he can do is recover from it and come back stronger, getting back on the scoresheet as soon as possible, and Villa face League 2 high-flyers Stevenage in the FA Cup on Sunday.
