Spurs forward Lucas Moura has been praised by Danny Murphy following his efforts for Tottenham at the weekend.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s Spurs got off to a flyer in their Premier League opener against Manchester City.
Tottenham claimed a superb 1-0 victory over the reigning champions, thanks to Son Heung-min’s second-half strike.

Lucas’ flick started the move for the winning goal, and the Brazilian delivered an impressive display overall.
Spurs ace was “outstanding”
Murphy was eager to sing Lucas’ praises, calling him the best performer for Spurs on the day.
“I thought Lucas Moura was outstanding, arguably their best player,” the former Tottenham man wrote on BBC Sport.
“Not just with his attacking play on the break but also with his tenacity and defensive work going the other way.

“That’s the kind of performance and mentality you need from all your players to get a result against City, on top of the right game plan too.”
Lucas’ future at Spurs remains uncertain, with The Athletic reporting in July that Tottenham are open to selling him if the right offer comes along.
But following such a great performance against one of the best teams in world football, Nuno might be unwilling to part ways with the 29-year-old.
