After an excellent afternoon for Mikel Arteta’s senior Arsenal squad yesterday, there was then some more good news from those out on loan.
As well as boasting an excellent first team squad these days, Arsenal are also complemented by the talent that exists in the Hale End academy.

And although fans will point to the likes of Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly as the next big talents, Arsenal do still have some exciting prospects in a slightly older category.
19-year-old Brooke Norton-Cuffy is seemingly right on the cusp of making the move to Arsenal’s first team or seeking a permanent move away in the near future.
And perhaps his form and progress during his season-long loan to Millwall in the Championship will be the deciding factor.
That being said, Norton-Cuffy was certainly impressing this weekend and was named in The Football League Paper’s Team of the Week.
Norton-Cuffy played 90 minutes at right-wing-back for Millwall against Huddersfield Town and scored his sides’ solitary goal in the 1-1 draw.
The Arsenal 19-year-old has been a regular for Millwall whilst on loan and must be catching the eye of Mikel Arteta.
Norton-Cuffy has long been considered a strong prospect, and must be right on the cusp of a first team breakthrough.
Arsenal’s Brooke Norton-Cuffy will be impressing Mikel Arteta on loan
Of course, Arsenal are now being linked with the recruitment of one £35m right-back in the near future.
It would seem as if Cedric Soares will probably depart the Emirates once his contract expires this year.

Moreover, given Arsenal do still lack the presence of a marauding profile at right-back, a new face would make sense.
However, ‘outstanding‘ Norton-Cuffy will surely be hoping that he can do enough on his Millwall loan to convince Arteta that he can be the answer for Arsenal.
But when you consider how excellent Jeremie Frimpong’s form has been for Bayer Leverkusen this season, the player Arsenal are linked with, it summarises the task quite well.
Arsenal youngsters are now only going to make it to the first team if they are truly elite, as we now often see at Manchester City.
Europe is littered with excellent City prospects who didn’t make it at the club but are now thriving elsewhere.
And that’s not because of poor decision making by the club, rather their exceptional requirements to make the step up.
