Diogo Jota scored again as Wolverhampton Wanderers brushed Arsenal aside at Molineux to move up to seventh.

Wolves recorded a comfortable 3-1 win over the Gunners with goals from Ruben Neves, Matt Doherty and Diogo Jota all coming in the first half.

Jota netted his ninth goal of the season to add to his burgeoning reputation and it was a well-taken strike.

The Portuguese forward quickly latched onto a loose pass from Granit Xhaka, breezed past his marker into the area and hit a low left-footed shot past Bernd Leno.

Since moving into a striker role alongside Raul Jimenez, Jota has found his feet in the top-flight and he is spearheading the Europa League qualification push.

Wolves fans loved Jota’s contribution last night, which highlighted just how important he has been for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men this season.

After scoring 18 goals last season, the 22-year-old is on course to hit double figures in his first season in the Premier League.
