A number of Arsenal fans have been giving their thoughts on the training-ground video of Thomas Partey shared on the Gunners’ Twitter feed.

The Arsenal summer signing has not featured for Mikel Arteta’s side since limping off in the North London derby at the start of December.

Partey has missed the games against Dundalk, Burnley, Southampton, Everton and Manchester City, and in his absence, the Gunners have seriously struggled.

It is unclear what the exact nature of the injury is, but with a tough fixture against Chelsea on the horizon, Partey is stepping up his rehabilitation.

The Ghana international was filmed doing drills on the training ground in a video captioned: “Turning the setback into a comeback.”

Here is what some Arsenal fans wrote on social media:

Arsenal are in dire straits at present, having lost eight of their 14 Premier League games so far and struggling near the bottom of the table.

The North Londoners haven’t won a league game since 1 November, when they ran out 1-0 winners at Manchester United.

Since then, Arsenal have lost to Aston Villa, Wolves, Spurs, Burnley and Everton, and drawn with Leeds and Southampton in the league.

And on Tuesday night, they were put to the sword by Manchester City in the League Cup quarter-finals, Pep Guardiola’s charges running out 4-1 winners at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal are currently 15th in the Premier League table, just four points clear of the bottom three, and at present they’re struggling to create chances, never mind win games.

They host Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium on Boxing Day.
