'Our best player by far': Celtic fans praise Jota despite Dundee United draw

Celtic endured a tough day at the office this afternoon as Dundee United made life difficult for Ange Postecoglou and his charges at Parkhead.

The Bhoys had taken the lead when Liel Abada had given them the lead just inside 17 minutes. But instead of kicking on and taking the game to Dundee, Ian Harkes hit back almost immediately for the visitors.

Over the course of the 90 minutes, United then made it harder and harder for Celtic to get a winning goal. The Bhoys are lagging behind Rangers in the title race already, and performances like today are not ideal.

However, among a couple of poorer performances in green and white, new signing, Jota, was at least a ray of light. The winger was a constant threat, and provided the goal for Abada in the first place.

Jota arrived at the club on a season-long loan from Benfica in the summer and is expected to play a big role this season. Indeed, if today is anything to go by, then he should prove quite the player.

Celtic fans, then, took to Twitter to sing the praises of Jota, insisting he was the man of the match in an otherwise poor performance.
