'Our 2024 UCL winning squad is complete': Some Leeds fans are in raptures after club announcement
Leeds United have confirmed their fifth signing of the summer in the form of Chelsea prospect Lewis Bate.
The club announced on their official website that the teenager has signed a three-year deal with the Yorkshire club. Bate will join up with Leeds’ U-23 side for next season.
As per the club’s official announcement, Leeds beat a handful of clubs to the signing of Bate. The 18-year-old midfielder was one of Chelsea’s top youth prospects.
The youngster is also capped at international level with England, with Bate representing the Three Lions for the U-17 and U-18 sides.
The teenager is Leeds’ fifth signing of the summer transfer window, following the arrivals of Junior Firpo, Jack Harrison, Shaun McGurk and Amari Miller.
Indeed, fans on social media were buzzing about the signing.
Bate is highly rated at youth level, and his signing is yet another solid addition to the club’s already stacked talent pool.
