Ossie Ardiles takes to Twitter to sing praises of Spurs duo Harry Kane and Erik Lamela

Spurs saw off Dinamo Zagreb tonight with relative ease as two goals from Harry Kane ensured Jose Mourinho’s men were victorious.

Kane struck midway through both halves to ensure a comfortable enough night at the office for Jose Mourinho’s men, who played well enough and deserved their victory in the end.

For Kane, it was just another night at the office and although he left the field and applied an ice pack, he should be fit for this weekend’s NLD given he removed said ice pack later on.

And following the game, club legend and all round Spurs favourite, Ossie Ardiles, took to Twitter to sing the praises of both Kane and Erik Lamela, who also put in a fine shift.

Ardiles isn’t the most vocal on Twitter and he’s clearly been impressed enough this evening to take the time out to lavish praise on some of his former team’s stars.

Kane’s goals mean he’s now breached the 25 goal mark for the campaign once more. Lamela, meanwhile, did little wrong as he showed he is more than capable of slotting in for Gareth Bale if needed.

Ardiles is one of Spurs’ all time favourite players so it’s great to see him taking the time out to praise the current crop.

Kane and Lamela were among a number of Spurs players to do well this evening. Jose Mourinho will have been delighted with the clean sheet and it should now be a comfortable ride into the next round barring a disaster.
