Former Sunderland striker Josh Maja has scored his first goal for Bordeaux in their 2-1 defeat to Nimes in Ligue 1.
Maja opened the scoring less than 15 minutes into the French top division clash, racing ahead of his markers to turn in a low cross from close-range.
It was the 20-year-old’s first goal for his new club in his seventh game and his third start.
Sunderland fans are divided on whether they want Maja to do well. Some resent the way he left the club midway through this season and others wish him well.

Maja had scored 15 league goals and was the main man spearheading the automatic promotion bid at The Stadium of Light this season.
But rather than signing a new contract, the Londoner expressed his desire to leave and he was granted a move to Bordeaux.
The Black Cats allowed Maja to move on so that they were able to cash in on the youngster rather than lose him on the cheap in the summer.
Here are several tweets from Sunderland fans after Maja netted his first goal for Bordeaux.
