‘Oozes class’: Celtic fans loved Filip Benkovic’s display in Dundee win

Filip Benkovic continued his impressive form for Celtic in the win over Dundee on Saturday – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter went wild about the quality of his performance.

The Bhoys earned a routine 3-0 home victory at Parkhead, which means they will be top of the Scottish Premiership at Christmas.

Brendan Rodgers’ side took a two-goal lead courtesy of strikes from 19-year-old striker Mikey Johnston, something that highlights the depth of the squad.

The Scottish champions then added a third through defender Benkovic and it was his second goal for the club.

Benkovic has made a colossal impact since he joined in the summer on loan from Leicester City and looks destined to reach the very top.

The 21-year-old is a towering centre-back that is strong in the air and very composed in defensive situations.

He’s also caught the eye for his excellent range of passing and a lot of Celtic attacks are started by him.

A selection of Celtic fans on social media were blown away by the Croatian defender’s latest display and would love for him to join on a permanent basis from Premier League club Leicester.
