Some Spurs fans have taken to social media to react to transfer news from Itlay that claims Erik Lamela is close to a move to Serie A side Napoli.

Corriere dello Sport claim that the Argentine winger is ‘very close’ to joining Gennaro Gattuso’s side, with talks between the two parties intensifying over the past few days, with the reporting also stating that AC Milan are also interested in the Tottenham winger, who joined the north London club in the summer of 2013 from AS Roma.

Lamela has featured heavily for Jose Mourinho’s side this season, with the 29-year-old forward making 31 appearances in all competitions for Spurs, scoring four goals and assisting one, yet for some fans on social media, they were upset to see one of the club’s longest-serving players linked with a move away.
